Seonmin Hur earned both of her BFA and MFA in Metalwork from Kookmin University located in Seoul, Korea. Her interest is in making various jewelry and goods for daily needs using metal. Her work is known for achieving both simple aesthetics and functionality through geometrical designs. One of her works that received most attention are handmade radios which were recognized for their unique designs and functional aspects.

These characteristics in her works awarded her "The Artist of the Year' at the Craft Trend Fair held in Korea. She is not only working in Korea but also in France and Hong Kong. Due to her major, her strength is in understanding characteristics of various materials. This makes her a teacher who can help students approach materials in diverse ways when making 3D works.

She has been a teaching since 2004, mainly helping high school students to apply to art schools. Her teaching priority is in communication with students. Therefore, she teaches students ways they can express themselves as an artist and discuss their work with others in most effective ways.

Jiyoung Moon

Jiyoung Moon is currently working as a teacher’s assistant at Royal Blue Art Institute. She graduated from Chadwick International School in Songdo in 2016 and is now attending Rhode Island School of Design. She is expected to graduate in 2020 with BFA in painting. Jiyoung likes to use the decorative nature of her paintings to display satire and humor. As an artist she has always been interested in many different areas. During her years in high school she was a member of the CI photography club. She also played a role as a costume director for school plays held by Chadwick International. She designed costumes for “Agatha Rex” and was a backstage assistant for “Mulan”. She also is passionate about volunteer work and participated in a student led service club “Room to Read”, where she taught English to preschoolers.

After high school, she was accepted to SAIC, RISD, NYU, Pratt, RIT, VCU, Calarts, SCAD, SVA and received generous amount of scholarship from many of these schools. At RISD, she is one of top students and was designated an honors student for three consecutive semesters. Her paintings and drawings were exhibited at Waterman Building and Memorial Hall located in Providence, RI.

Gami Park is a graphic designer and educator. She holds an BFA(Bachelor of Fine Art) in fine art from School of the Arts Institute of Chicago in 2007 and M.S(Master of Science) in communication design from Pratt Institute in 2010. Now she is studying Ph.D. in the department of human environment and design focus on visual communication and brand design of Yonsei university. During her studies she taught design education in Baekseok Arts university for undergraduate students. She is a graphic designer practice focusing on visual identity, branding, editorial designs web-design and typos. Her personal work investigates where graphic design and sustainability overlap, seeks where slowness may still exist in our culture and explores how to make content and visual styling more medium agnostic.

Since 2012, she has taught many students in ‘Royal Blue’ art classes. As a design educator, she is interested in students to develop a design practice that values the relationship between content and context, and how these come together to resolve information through meaningful visual forms. She encourages her students to become designers aware of their unique perspectives and discover what is important them within the culture of contemporary design. The heart of her work and teaching is a passion for design innovation and formal rigor.

Gaseul Kim’s childhood flourished with creativity since both of her parents were artist. She grew up making art under her parents in an artistic environment and decide to go to an art school for a further education. However she faced hardships during the process and was accepted to college at her third attempt. This experience became an opportunity for her to understand students better. Therefore she started to teach students art and help them with their art school application process since her freshmen year in college.

She earned both of her MFA and BFA in Printmaking and is continuously making prints as an artist. Her college education helped her to understand visual elements and medium characteristics of print-making, which became a huge influence to her when making art. She uses art as a medium to approach the world and let the audience see through her. For her, the process of making art is similar to how children communicate through playing. Her goal is to verify her identity through art as she understands and develops herself during the process. Therefore, when teaching, she hopes to help students to find their potential as artists that can be applied to the society. She is willing to fully support students and provide helpful advice to them.

Kyounggun Kim is represented by the Royal Blue Art & Design, RBART Educational Corporation in Seoul, Korea. He grew up a small town in Korea, moved to Vancouver, Canada in 1999 and managed a branch of ‘Hyundai Graphics’ Co., Ltd. He left Vancouver and move to Boston, MA to study Illustration in the Art Institute of Boston, where he received another BFA degree in 2005(He earned bachelor degrees in Fine Art and Illustration.).

He had worked in new york as a freelance illustrator and as a senior designer at the ‘Zeroman Studio’ for the past 2 years. He was an illustrator involved in the issues of form, light, space, design, and process. His illustration work is typically sculptural and has recently turned toward short film to bring his artwork to life. His creative interests are in Fine Art (Painting and Installation), illustration (Digital & Traditional style), Graphic design (He specializes in publication/editorial design, branding/ identity and information visualization.) His works has been exhibited in group and solo shows nationally and abroad.

He has had taught art and design more than 20 years. For the past ten years, he has managed ‘RBART’ Educational Corporation. He is very aware of the needs of the student, and is able to bring a fresh approach to teaching and guiding up and coming artists in training. The corresponding disciplines of his studio practice and career as an educator form a symbiotic relationship within his artistic practice. His unique and diverse artistic approach makes his teaching methods adaptable and wide ranging.
